About us
Ice and ice sculptures made in Lisbon, from the machine to your bar.
Gelo Lisboa started from a simple problem: bars and restaurants in the city struggled to find an ice supplier they could rely on — one that showed up on time and offered more than a basic cube.
Who we are
The service is run by Iceology, Unipessoal Lda, an ice producer based in Lisbon. The same team makes, bags and delivers the ice, so we can respond quickly and know exactly what reaches your bar.
How we make it
- Hoshizaki machines. Our cubes come from Japanese equipment built to make hard, dry ice that doesn't stick in the bag.
- Slow-melt moulds. Spheres, 5 cm cubes, rectangular blocks and Collins spears are made in dedicated moulds — solid, with no air bubbles.
- Bagged straight away. Each batch goes into food-grade polythene right after production and stays cold until delivery.
Sculptures
The team includes a sculptor and an engineer experienced with ice, which lets us make anything from a simple logo block to drink dispensers with channels inside. See the work on iceology.pt.
